A black Tucker!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so maybe you think I'm crazy, but when I walked past this child he looked like Tucker at first glance (except for one obvious exception, of course)!!  I found out that he's 18 months old (like Tucker).  They're about the same size, have those big, puffy cheeks, full lips and big eyes.  Of course Tucker's skin is just a shade or two fairer and his hair a little straighter, but basically they're twins.  Maybe I'm just delirious from jet-lag or homesick and miss the little guy, but this boy reminded me of Tuck.  I'm sure Mal is begging to differ as she reads this and probably wondering what in the world I'm thinking!  What do you think??????

  2. I agree with Ann. They are both cute. You are right they both have big checks and full lips but I can't really see Tuck. I wonder if his favorite word right now is "NO!" too? I will post pics soon so you can remember what our kids look like.....................I love you

  3. Trent, what a blessing your writings are! I am most encouraged by you embracing something completely unfamiliar and totally uncomfortable both culturally and orthopaedically. Those are NOT straight forward cases. I bet that femur will be tough and that ankle will be socked in I imagine but they are in good hands. Can I go live permanently at the guest house with good breakfast and a prayer garden? We can work in the morning on go on safaris all afternoon! Please keep writing I am very inspired by this and can't wait to do some missions. I pray God will grow you and you won't come back unchanged. Send some post-op films and I will forward them to Dr. your attendings for appropriate criticism...Jeremiah Maddox

  4. Trent, So glad that you are doing this blog. I am going to love reading about your time there and glad that you are also posting about the patients and the injuries you will have to deal with! Mallory is doing great and I hope to visit her as much as I can while you're gone! Glad your communication is pretty easy too! Praying for you. Joy
